I arrived safely in Sydney on time after an uneventful flight. I sat next to a very sweet older Aussie couple who were shocked at how much I slept. Pop a gravol and whoosh! There goes six hours! I could tell they were also surprised that I ate a bag of Swedish berries for breakfast but they were kind enough not to mention it.
It's thirty-six degrees here without humidity. I am NOT complaining. Sun screening responsibily and all that. It's supposed to rain for the next several days and be a lot cooler so I'm soaking up sun while it's here.
I showed up at my hotel too early for check in so I walked up to Hyde Park. Tomorrow is Australia Day so they're getting stages and such set up. I've since found my way to a Starbucks to use the wifi. I'm not confident I can find my way back to my hotel. Ahh, the joys of travelling alone!
While at Hyde Park, saw this guy, who might be the equivalent to our seagulls. I was that tourist taking pictures
Tomorrow is Australia Day so I'll be checking out what Sydney has to offer to celebrate.
